During the UCRC’s August Special Meeting, the Commissioners asked UCRC staff to work with the four Upper Division States to compile ongoing water conservation and efficiency activities underway for both M&I and the agricultural water use sectors in the Upper Basin. They were also asked to compile the approximate number of acres affected by intrastate administration (e.g., were regulated, shut-off early, fallowed, etc.) that occurred in 2021, a substantially below-average year for water supply and inflow to Lake Powell.
UCRC developed the following 2-page factsheet to highlight the substantial efforts undertaken across the Upper Basin to make every drop count.
